Ocean Beach
Ocean Beach is the largest village and the closest thing Fire Island has to a downtown. Restaurants, ice cream, a theater, and a night scene sit a few sandy blocks from a guarded ocean beach. First-timers usually land here, then learn the rest of the island is quieter.
