The Pines
Fire Island Pines grew in the 1950s as a more architect-driven, bay-to-ocean counterpart to Cherry Grove. Tea dances, a marina, and a July 4 Invasion of the Pines — drag from the Grove walking the old path in — are part of the calendar. Linked to the Grove by the Judy Garland Memorial Pathway.
